Faiza Haseeb is a Development professional, Educationalist & a Social Activist. She has worked with the International Research Council for Religious Affairs as a Program Manager. Faiza managed multiple projects funded by International donors; National Endowment for Democracy (NED) Washington DC, DAI International (USAID) (CRA, AeP), Holing Center for International Dialogue Washington DC, Geneva Call, United States Institutes of Peace (USIP), British Council, UNESCO and KnK Japan. Through these initiatives, she is working to promote Peace & culture of coexistence, dialogue and sectarian reconciliation, countering hate speech & hate literature. While also working closely to counter violent-extremism and sectarianism in Pakistan, these projects engaged Religious leaders in promoting peace and interfaith dialogue. She has taken the lead to improve the access and quality of girl’s education in remote areas of KP, working with Friends Welfare Association Pakistan & KnK Japan. Faiza has delivered Life-Skills training to-hundreds-of-female students in KP Govt. Schools, besides offering training to community advocacy groups, PTC members & Govt. School teachers in many districts of KP. She authored “Peace education and its potential role in conflict transformation in Pakistan”, “Role of peace education in sustainability and development of Pakistan”, “Dynamics of Dropouts from Primary School & Challenges for SDG-4 in South Asia” academic research papers published by National & International Journals. She wrote many articles-highlighting women’s role in society and peace-building, role of youth in peace-building, Women & Education, and a few depicting status of girl’s education in KP province of Pakistan- published in leading English newspapers of Pakistan, in addition to development of a few Training Manuals over IHL, Countering Hate material, life-skills and Islam & Democracy: An Alternate Narrative. She holds MS Degree in Development Studies from COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus & MBA (Banking & Finance) from GC University, besides various courses & certifications including but not limited to; Religion & Peace-building, Introduction to Peace-building, Preparing for peace building, Conflict Analysis, Designing Community based Dialogues, and Design, Monitoring & Evaluation for programming in fragile environments (United States Institute of Peace). She has also served in the Banking & Industrial sector-in different capacities.
